How is everyone doing? It's almost summer and I am getting antsy to make something. Anything really, I have this cool pattern I bought on <a href="http://www.burdaystyle.com/">Burdastyle</a>, here's a flat of it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://assets.burdastyle.com/patterns/technical_drawings/000/000/063/6032_tech_large.jpg?1243632285" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://assets.burdastyle.com/patterns/technical_drawings/000/000/063/6032_tech_large.jpg?1243632285" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/larissa">Larissa</a></div>I have been wanting a motorcycle jacket for a long time, I actually blogged about a vintage one I saw <a href="http://dinorubio.blogspot.com/2009/12/little-change-of-pace.html">here</a>. I have a problem with the jacket fitting my shoulders and then I have to go up in size. It will fit my shoulders but then the body is big, so that's why I want to make my own. I have the pattern and I have my fabric so hopefully this summer I can start... Let me know are they any motorcycle jackets you like or have to have? I think these would go well with those Skin Graft bags also.<br />
<br />
Have a great week.Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-40978107304019064922011-05-25T14:32:00.000-07:002011-06-06T14:44:49.216-07:00Loulouthi - Anna Maria HornerHappy almost memorial day! Anybody have any bbq plans for the weekend? I love bbq but that sauce gets everywhere.... Where I am going with all of this is Anna Maria Horner has a new line of fabric out and I love it. The name of it is Loulouthi. She has voiles, quilting weight cottons and some laminated cottons. The prints are adorable and I want to make myself a nice summer dress out of some of those voiles.<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">All the pictures are from her <a href="http://annamariahorner.blogspot.com/">blog</a>. Go there to see some more pictures of the other prints. I love her fabric but I have yet to make anything out it. I have bought some of her fat quarter bundles but I just don't have the time to make anything. What about you? Do you like Anna Maria? Have you ever bought any of her fabric? Have a great memorial day weekend. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

It doesn't matter if it is neon orange, green, pink or yellow. I have seen them all and I am guilty of buying these neon orange almost oxford like shoes. I changed the laces to black robbons but they are adorable. I even made a matching bow out of an equally bright fabric.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gO63w4izKLM/TaSIWU4vvZI/AAAAAAAAAE0/4XbU7xClS50/s1600/Neon-shoes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="160" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gO63w4izKLM/TaSIWU4vvZI/AAAAAAAAAE0/4XbU7xClS50/s400/Neon-shoes.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Picture by me</div><br />
All this leads up to these neon green heels I just saw on <a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/?p=5586">jak&jil</a>.<br />
<br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/tamu.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" r6="true" src="http://jakandjil.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/tamu.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">I think these are just as cool as my neon orange ones and they are a different neon color. This woman doesn't have on any other neon green things on but shes is staying the neon color range. I really like her outfit. What about you? Love neon or is it too close to the Eighties for you? </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

The ones with that little dude and their tag line was " Red Bull gives you wiings!" I always thought they were funny but the point of this was because I was looking at <a href="http://www.jakandjil.com/blog">Jak&Jil </a> and I saw these shoes.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/westwoodmelissa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="http://jakandjil.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/westwoodmelissa.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Don't these shoes just yell Red Bull. I don't think I would ever wear these, they are a little weird for me but you never know. What about you? Are you a Red Bull person? Would you wear these? You wouldn't be able fly but you can think you can....</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Happy Wednesday.</div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-12662752180158655822011-03-23T11:37:00.000-07:002011-04-11T14:23:02.075-07:00Etsy.<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Hello, hello. How is everyone? Today's topic is Etsy. What do you think of it? As I shop more and more on there I am coming to think of it as a crafty ebay. Today I was browsing and I saw these lace fingerless gloves. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/58777654/lace-gloves-yasofingerless-cream-please?ref=fp_treasury_3"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="http://ny-image3.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.182674587.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">I thought how cool. At first I thought she made them out of old lace and then after flipping through the pictures I realized she had knit them. I mean I find something to buy on there every time I look but then I see people who post things they found at an estate sale or a thrift store. I mean I understand that if you don't sell it, it will become part of your collection, when someone else would enjoy it more. I guess it is a different form of ebay it is just geared to a certain demographic. What do you think? Are you an Etsy shopper or seller? Have a great rest of the week. </div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-8978209246067802052011-03-16T11:44:00.000-07:002011-04-11T12:04:28.249-07:00Leather again...<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Remember my post last week about <a href="http://dinorubio.blogspot.com/2011/03/skin-graft.html">Skin Graft</a>, well this week I was looking on the <a href="http://www.barneys.com/">Barney's</a> website and then I saw this in the top section. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-88CRollvsV4/TaNNpw0HywI/AAAAAAAAAEw/zSqGyLNtnR4/s1600/Givenchy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-88CRollvsV4/TaNNpw0HywI/AAAAAAAAAEw/zSqGyLNtnR4/s320/Givenchy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">This is a <a href="http://www.barneys.com/Harness-Tank/500953632,default,pd.html">Givenchy harness top</a>, it's $680 for one size. It seems that you tie it in the front so it is adjustable for your size but I don't think it's made for everyone. It is definitely not in my budget, if it was I would so buy this. I think this would go great with anything that Skin Graft makes. I guess you can tell I love leather. What about you? Are you an animal right's person and don't want to harm the cows or are youa leather lover too? </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">p.s. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">If you are in LA and Givenchy is in your price point, Barney's is having a trunk show Tuesday April 12-13 in Beverly Hills. I don't kniow if there is a specific time but call them and see. This seems like it would fun if I had the time to go, so if anyone goes comeback and comment, let me know how it is. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">I hope everyone is doing well, today is a harness kind of day. Has anyone heard of <a href="http://skingraftdesigns.com/">Skin Graft</a>? I first saw them at Pool Trade Show about three years ago and I thought how cool. Here's a pic: </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://skingraftdesigns.com/assets/2009/1/31/Holster_1_medium.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" r6="true" src="http://skingraftdesigns.com/assets/2009/1/31/Holster_1_medium.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">I have this bag in canvas, I love it. It is great for concerts and when I go out because then I don't have to worry about my bag and it looks great. Skin Graft opened in May of 2008 and it looks like they are getting more popular. They specialize in leather and this season they seem to be focusing on knits also. Here is another bag that looks great with a motorcycle jacket and boots. </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://skingraftdesigns.com/assets/2009/1/31/Stable_Coat_1_medium.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" r6="true" src="http://skingraftdesigns.com/assets/2009/1/31/Stable_Coat_1_medium.jpg" width="206" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">His jacket also goes well with that bag. I have been seeing more people wear their stuff and I think they haave a kind steampunk feel to some of there stuff. What do you think? Love it, hate it, I don't know.... Happe Wednesday. </div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-79364822952230660212011-03-02T11:48:00.000-08:002011-03-28T13:59:39.057-07:00Back to our normal broadcasting schedule....Hello, hello. I am going back to my normal blogging of accessories. You know how I love them and I also love <a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/">Jak&Jil</a>'s blog and as I was cruising along looking for cool things I saw this picture:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/silversmoke.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="http://jakandjil.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/silversmoke.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/?p=5394">Here's the link to the pic with comments</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I don't know about you but I love rings and these have a very medieval feel to them. I love how she matched her nails to the rings. I don't know who the designer is or whose hand this is but it speaks to me. I think of knights in shining in armor and all the different kinds of armor in the different kinds of metal. They are kind of gothic but they have a romantic feel to them. How do you think they would look in another color? Maybe like an old copper, like the Statue of Liberty, I love that color and I think the rings in that color would be rad. What do you think? Like 'em, Love 'em or Hate 'em? Would you change the color if you could? Happy Wednesday. </div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-7802643289390845842011-02-23T10:21:00.000-08:002011-03-28T10:55:26.190-07:00Painter's BlockHello long time no blog. I just got done with my collection for the Fashion 130 class and man was that class a lot of work. In the end it was very rewarding and I loved my mini collection and everyone else's, we worked hard. The class was only six weeks so I think you do need to do some prep work before the class even starts. I only did one pattern for this outfit ahead of time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rw6qkyrik0s/TZDEtvMsb7I/AAAAAAAAAEg/FaFZwycb4jg/s1600/DSC02288.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rw6qkyrik0s/TZDEtvMsb7I/AAAAAAAAAEg/FaFZwycb4jg/s640/DSC02288.JPG" width="427" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It was a rough pattern and I still had a lot of fitting to do on the blouse pattern once the class started but the outfit came out great. </div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This dress that you are about to see is in it's third reincarnation. Originally I was going to do separates, but I wanted to save myself some time so I thought aha a dress should do the trick. I loved how this dress turned out, tell me what you think...</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Oe93aM-xAmM/TZDGZQgcVtI/AAAAAAAAAEk/kLqKdC_Gp7c/s1600/DSC02300.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Oe93aM-xAmM/TZDGZQgcVtI/AAAAAAAAAEk/kLqKdC_Gp7c/s640/DSC02300.JPG" width="427" /></a></div><br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My final outfit is by far my favorite because it has my colors, the ones I love to wear and accessorize with. The pattern for both the shorts and blouse were time consuming but the final product looks great. </div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Here is the front:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GUIEXY1x0yQ/TZDIJV0aPfI/AAAAAAAAAEo/bojr_bkSEE8/s1600/DSC02296.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GUIEXY1x0yQ/TZDIJV0aPfI/AAAAAAAAAEo/bojr_bkSEE8/s640/DSC02296.JPG" width="427" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">But my favorite part of the outfit is the back:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IV66dwrs-1o/TZDIM3s8j1I/AAAAAAAAAEs/p4Fx1xtCSLM/s1600/DSC02294.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IV66dwrs-1o/TZDIM3s8j1I/AAAAAAAAAEs/p4Fx1xtCSLM/s640/DSC02294.JPG" width="428" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I think I am going to make that this top for me, I just have to fit the pattern. The only thing I am disappointed about is that I was not able make any accessories, I started a clutch on the final day of class but I was just a little burnt out to finish it, so accessories coming soon. I just want to thank Natalia at <a href="http://westcoastrunways.blogspot.com/">West Coast Runways</a> for being my model and you should check out her post <a href="http://westcoastrunways.blogspot.com/2011/03/130-collection.html">here</a>, where she has pictures of almost everyone else's collections from our class. Let me know what you think and until next time, happy shopping!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

How is your Saturday going? So I am actually quite surprised that I have never blogged about these bags before but I love them. The bags I am talking about are <a href="http://www.kimwhitehandbags.com/">Kim White Handbags</a>. Here is a picture:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://kimwhitehandbags.com/automotive/78ford_b_stripe_shoulder.html"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://kimwhitehandbags.com/automotive/images/small/78ford_b_stripe_shoulder_lg.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I actually have this fabric in this style bag:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://kimwhitehandbags.com/automotive/redplush_coc.html"><img border="0" height="228" src="http://kimwhitehandbags.com/automotive/images/small/redplush_coc.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">As her website says, "[She] specializes in handbags made from vintage automotive fabric". I love her bags so much. the shapes are fun and the bags are quirky and make an outfit more fun. What do you think? Love 'em, hate 'em, or just okay? Let me know and have a great weekend.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

How is everyone? I hope your week has been well... I am planning on going to a estate sale in a little while but earlier this week I was doing some internet shopping and I went over to the <a href="http://www.kidrobot.com/Clothing/Bags/YummyPocketsPouch7x2InchHotDogEdition.html">kid robot</a> site. I saw this cute hot dog pouch. They call them yummypockets pouch and I guess if you love hot dogs you would be pretty hungry.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://kid-robot.s3.amazonaws.com/products/YummypocketsHotDog_large_image1_18488.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://kid-robot.s3.amazonaws.com/products/YummypocketsHotDog_large_image1_18488.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It actually look really realistic, so would you want an un-messy hotdog floating around in your purse or would you just bypass this accessory? Is it a hit or miss?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Let me know. Have a great weekend.</div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-24501617638295220082010-10-09T10:07:00.000-07:002010-10-11T14:19:27.007-07:00My Dress Design for Shabby Apple Dresses.<div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;">We were assigned a project in one of my fashion design classes that correlated to an actual contest happening at <a href="http://shabbyapple.com/">Shabby Apple Dresses</a>. I know I am a bit late blogging about the FYF Festival at the cornfield at the beginning of September, but I did attend with some of my bffs and I had a wonderful time listening to <a href="http://myspace.com/deadmansbones">Dead Man's Bones</a> and <a href="http://myspace.com/coldcave">Cold Cave</a> for the very first time. You would recognize Cold Cave from the Verizon commercial. Okay, so I should be blogging about accessories and that is just what I am about to do. I saw some very interesting things there and my favorite of the whole night was this dinosaur bag.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/TKktFG3NP9I/AAAAAAAAAEA/WnL6XO0dkUI/s1600/IMG_1572.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/TKktFG3NP9I/AAAAAAAAAEA/WnL6XO0dkUI/s400/IMG_1572.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Photo Credit: Me</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It is like the street version of the bag I blogged about <a href="http://dinorubio.blogspot.com/2009/11/dinosaurs.html">here</a>, from Giles Deacon. I actually love both versions of dinosaur bags...let me know what you. Do you like one better than the other or are dinosaurs just not for you? Have a great weekend!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/?p=4836"><img border="0" height="262" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/TKDQ1y5572I/AAAAAAAAAD8/b4okTN4bj_Q/s400/taylorjoanna.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I really like the top and the jacket, it is totally my style and more then likely you would probably be able to find this in my closet. What about you? Is this your style? Yay or Nay? Let me know...Have a great weekend</div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-38907261294189117842010-09-18T10:20:00.000-07:002010-09-27T09:57:08.626-07:00Hello again.Long time no blog. How is everyone out there? I'm thinking of moving to tumblr. I need some feedback so let me know...This semester I think I'm still doing accessories but I may change it up from time to time. So I was flipping through <a href="http://jakandjil.com/">Jak&Jil</a> and I found these really rad heels.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/?p=4798"><img border="0" height="251" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/TKDF7yCTdAI/AAAAAAAAAD0/Kzg4pU1y5Rk/s400/DSC_01623.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">These are like two of my favorite colors black and that sea foamy green/turquoise. I don't know if I would ever be able to wear these as I am a total klutz, but they are pretty cool. I know in my closet they would match with a lot of things and I think they would fair pretty well in most women's closets because this turquoise color has been very popular. What do you think? Would I find these in your closet? Let me know...</div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-75773564706723030142010-09-04T10:38:00.000-07:002010-09-27T09:55:15.403-07:00Heavy Metal.How many of you out there are into heavy metal? It doesn't have to be the music it can be the chains or whatever...I guess it's up to interpretation and what your definition of it is. I was surfing through <a href="http://jakandjil.com/">Jak&Jil</a> again because I love they're blog and I found these great heels.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/?p=4700"><img border="0" height="246" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/TKDJ-0O5L6I/AAAAAAAAAD4/ZpGD-fblk8Q/s400/jenkaoshoes.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This could be a definition of heavy metal, right? I don't know what I would wear these with...maybe a little black dress? What would you wear these with? Let me know.</div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-64674636976319817552009-12-11T16:36:00.000-08:002009-12-11T22:41:05.690-08:00A little change of pace...Okay, so I have never blogged on my love of motocycle jackets, but alas I must, I have found and seen many that I just love and every time, I say, " I have to have it!" but they are just so darn expensive. So as I was cruising <a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/">Jak&Jil</a> I found this spectacular jacket, I don't know who the designer or the line is that its from but it is cool, very punk rock.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyMO9IUo48I/AAAAAAAAADE/pxiRvwZPjvg/s1600-h/emilyeisen2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="198" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyMO9IUo48I/AAAAAAAAADE/pxiRvwZPjvg/s320/emilyeisen2.jpg" width="320" /></a><br />
</div>I believe it's vintage...but I'm not certain. What do you think like it or no or you can't make a decision because it's not a full picture?<br />
Let me know what you think.<br />
Have a great weekend.Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-76641345777851535832009-11-30T07:45:00.000-08:002009-12-11T23:43:13.742-08:00Faux Pas?<span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 11px;">Good Morning. I think I have found a little something that might wake you up or it may do nothing...it all depends. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 11px;"><br />
</span></span><br />

</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 11px;"><br />
</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyND5JXLRlI/AAAAAAAAADk/23KBXkFGzcY/s1600-h/susiebubble.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyND5JXLRlI/AAAAAAAAADk/23KBXkFGzcY/s400/susiebubble.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It's like a different motorcycle vest...very different. I'm not so certain myself, I am still waffling on it, if it's nice or one of those vacation beach shirts gone wrong. I guess it is up to the viewer, as I stare at it while I'm writing it grows on me, so you never know.<br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">What do you think of it? Would you wear it?<br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Happy Monday.<br />

It is like my go to thing for stuff to blog about and today I have found some, I think, punk inspired Givenchy accessories. </span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyM-7Tppc3I/AAAAAAAAADc/S87av84Zr9U/s1600-h/eugenien.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyM-7Tppc3I/AAAAAAAAADc/S87av84Zr9U/s400/eugenien.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: 11px;">I believe it is just the headband and purse (which you can only see the strap of sorry)</span><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 11px;">So I really like them...from what I can see. I always love studs and punk stuff, but now that I look at the headband it kind of looks like it was inspired by the Statue of Liberty.</span></span><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 11px;">What do you think? Are you stud kind of person? and last question Gold or Silver studs?</span></span><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 11px;">Here's the link: <span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/?p=3375"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">GOLD MEMBER//</span></a></span></span></span><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 11px;"><br />
</span></span>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-11996394865517732762009-11-23T07:37:00.000-08:002009-12-11T19:57:01.851-08:00Cruella de Vil<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It feels like a villian Monday and today is a Cruella, because it's cool, new week but I'm not really looking forward to it, like you don't really want to hear from Cruella...<br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyMRZWy2CFI/AAAAAAAAADM/wVKVZavpMD0/s1600-h/cdv-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyMRZWy2CFI/AAAAAAAAADM/wVKVZavpMD0/s320/cdv-2.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><br />
<br />
<br />
So I was cruising through <a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/">Jak&Jil</a> this morning and I found some shoes to match my villian and so I think these make my Monday a little brighter...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyMSUiV515I/AAAAAAAAADU/eaDSxDWrbvI/s1600-h/diorbw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SyMSUiV515I/AAAAAAAAADU/eaDSxDWrbvI/s400/diorbw.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">They're like a combination Dalmatian print/Mary Jane/WingTip/Architetural/Mod heel...I like them and if I actually wore heels I think I would wear these. I think they are Dior, but I'm not really certain. They'll match with a lot so you will get a bunch of use out of these.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">What do think love 'em, they're ok, or you hate 'em?<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">I hope your Monday is a little brighter then mine...<br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Have a great week.<br />

Happy Monday.<br />
Anyone looking forward to Spring? I know I am after I glanced at <a href="http://nymag.com/fashion/look/2009/spring/trends/">NY Mag's</a> essentials for Spring, so circles are supposed to big, whether they are in your clothes, hair, or glasses. My favorite thing of all the essentials is the non monochromatic swimwear.<br />

<br />
My favorite one is the Pucci but the Oscar de la Renta one is pretty rad too. What do you think?<br />
Are they too bright for Spring or are looking forward to that season even more now?<br />
Have a great week.Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-11554626239494551042009-11-16T17:07:00.000-08:002009-11-27T09:53:24.781-08:00More Watches.Hello again.<br />
<br />
How was your weekend? Watches, how many do you own? Do you honestly need more than one or is it like an obsession, you just have to it when you see it? What about Legos when are you too old them, is it when fashion becomes number one in your life or is it just out of sight of mind and then you are over it? Last question but what about Legos and watches together?<br />
<br />
So this weekend I was perusing <a href="http://thecoolhunter.net/">The Cool Hunter</a> website and found these Lego inspired watches by JC de Castelbajac along with some hats, bags, clothing and jewelry. <br />
<br />
Here's the watch:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SxARUDMHWrI/AAAAAAAAACs/IjPQIYE4HZ4/s1600/Lego+Watches.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/SxARUDMHWrI/AAAAAAAAACs/IjPQIYE4HZ4/s320/Lego+Watches.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><br />
With these in mind are we no longer too old for Legos and is this watch something you must have? Personally, I like the neon watches but the <a href="http://thecoolhunter.net/article/detail/1645/jc-de-castelbajac-lego-inspired">Lego bag</a> is something I could see myself getting...<br />

Happy Friday the 13th. Has anyone found any cool accessories? I just discovered a designer who is new to me...<a href="http://nymag.com/fashion/fashionshows/2010/spring/main/europe/womenrunway/gilesdeacon/#slide4&ss1">Giles Deacon</a>! Click his name for runway pictures. His Ready-To-Wear for Spring 2010 is adorable, I love the whole line but I especially love his triceratops bags! He has one that is the same color as a pair of his trousers and that is my favorite but I love them all.<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">What do you think? Are you a dinosaur person or are they only for kids?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Thanks for reading, </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Have a great weekend.</div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-25109709025559808552009-11-02T16:39:00.000-08:002009-11-09T17:06:04.470-08:00My apologies...<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Sorry for the hiatus... I missed all of October but look at it this way Thanksgiving is in three weeks. How was your Halloween? Did anyone see any great costumes with some amazing accesories? I'm kind of bummed as adults we don't get to trick or treat, so we don't get those rad candy bags but then we have all these cool purses instead...so it makes up for it I guess. Okay, so moving on todays accessory is some really rad shoes that remind me of Halloween, one of my favorite holidays...<br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://jakandjil.com/blog/?p=3159" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" sr="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/Svi5L3Sfv9I/AAAAAAAAACc/SAcuGUvs3_M/s320/prada.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">These seem like something you would find a girl wearing for a costume, like a punk rock chick or a prety fierce bumble bee. <br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">What do you think? <br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">Let me know and have a great week everyone!<br />
</div>Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8206236013559400544.post-39494269005837663342009-09-26T09:39:00.000-07:002009-11-30T15:27:57.266-08:00Watches.I never really notice them on a person because they are so common, almost everyone wears one, right? There are the ones with links, the leather cuff ones, calculator ones, bracelet ones, etc. Well it seems that there has been a fluorescent/ rainbow trend that is trickling down from the Ready-To-Wear shows into accessories, more specifically watches.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.thecoolhunter.net/article/detail/1613/new-jelly-toy-watch""http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/Sr5Ks5lEqkI/AAAAAAAAACM/Fc0WnFQpD4M/s1600-h/toy.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" style="text-decoration: none;"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5385824339612707394" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_AFcwc59VQ_U/Sr5Ks5lEqkI/AAAAAAAAACM/Fc0WnFQpD4M/s400/toy.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; height: 221px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 400px;" /></a><br />
<br />
These watches are like a flashback to childhood with the silicone straps and neon colors, they are like the jelly sandals that everyone use to wear.<br />
<br />
Were you into those jelly sandals?<br />
If yes, would you get a jelly watch to reminisce about those jelly sandal days?<br />
If no, what don’t you like about them?<br />
<br />
Thanks again for reading and have a great weekend!Dino Rubiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09448064642472555765noreply@blogger.com0
